Some days doesn’t life just feel totally and blissfully awesome?!
It may be the simplest of things that trigger that wonderful feeling of exquisite delight.
For me, it’s the sunshine and warmth of a beautiful day. I love hearing the birds sing their spring song, loudly and proudly. That’s what happened as I ate a delicious lovingly prepared lunch outside in a pretty flowered filled garden.
It’s the company of a good friend, as we chatter over a cup of coffee and eat a delicious slice of vegan cake.
It’s the feeling of freedom and being in the moment when nothing else matters except right now.
Yesterday I visited Glastonbury in Somerset, one of my favourite places at this time of year. I sat at the top of the Tor, leaning against the stone building, my bottom firmly planted on the brick floor, taking in the views of the surrounding lush, green countryside for miles around.
It is said that true passion for life comes from being able to be in awe of everything that is around us.
How often do you take the time to slow down and become conscious of the small things we usually don’t notice?
Giving ourselves a break from the complexity of our daily existence, allows us to be thrilled at what life has to offer.
Take time today to be present in the moment, wherever you are. Tune into the intricacies of your surroundings and allow yourself to be immersed in a sense of joy and amazement at the wonders of even the smallest aspects of your life.
